With Pride and Honour, I welcome you all “Karibu Sana” to the website of Shree Lohana Mahajan, Dar-es-Salaam. To briefly introduce myself, I am Parag Somaiya, son of Suryakant & Indira Somaiya, Husband to Nilam Somaiya, and Father to 2 lovely daughters.
It has been now 3 consecutive years that I have been elected as the President and want to thank the entire Lohana Community for their unwavering support and with that, I can only be proud to say, that the support will take our Mahajan through positive changes, to greater heights and a brighter future for the coming generations. On behalf of the current Management Committee, my appreciation whole heartedly goes out to the Community for bestowing Trust in all of us, and now matter what challenges, with Lord Ram’s blessings, we shall prevail!
With the huge task at hand, the current committee comprising of a well balanced experienced and youthful team, I feel encouraged to in taking on the various matters of the Mahajan head-on, such that all matters have blessings of the experienced members and exuberance of the youth.
The main task in hand are and not limited to : Bringing closer the Lohanas of Dar-es-Salaam in all manners possible, engaging the young and the old in various activities ranging from Education, Health and Sports, Renovating and developing the Mahajan Properties and facilities to the standard, and organizing religious and cultural programs as per our Calendar every year.
The zeal of the Management Team is such that, over the coming months, lot of positive changes shall be seen in the running of the Mahajan and its activities with a purpose to benefit the entire community at large.
The future is bright, however the path might not be that smooth, hence I humbly request every member to contribute via family contributions, ideas, voluntary service and if not the least, prayers and blessings for us all so that the coming generations are ever secured with unity, tranquility, peace and security.
We welcome all your suggestions and value your inputs, in these hard times, we need all the help to serve the community better and guide to the path of certainty. Please feel free to contact me directly or any member of the Management if ever any lohana community member sees the need to.
